Our chosen location is full of history dating back to the 13th Century. The symbol of this area is a millstone. If you don’t know what a millstone is, these are used to grind grains such as oats, barley and rye.
In 1951, this hilly area became England’s first National Park and this means that the beauty of mountains, meadows, moorlands, woods and water is protected for all future generations to enjoy.
Keeping with the trend of beautiful countryside views and moorland adventures, you can understand why the spots to dine, drink and feast are related to the scenes outside. Quaint cafes and tearooms are the perfect places for an English cuppa and cake and the local village restaurants serve traditional British food that is locally sourced.
